They offer 24-hour crisis intervention, shelter, emotional support, support groups, children's programs, and parenting education, among other services. Christian Ministries of Delaware Co.401 E Main St, Muncie, IN 47305; 765.288.0601 Christian Ministries is an ecumenical not-for-profit social service organization, which focuses on attending to the needs of low-income persons in Delaware County and the surrounding areas. Coordinating community resources to enhance the donations received from churches provides a larger base of funding for each project. Community Help Center1035 N. Columbia Street, Union City, IN 47390; 765.964.4063 The Community Help Center is designed to help low income persons with food, medicine, utilities, rent and clothing. It also helps fire victims. Muncie Mission Ministries520 S High St, Muncie, IN 47305; 765.288.9122 ext 2 Muncie Mission serves the homeless, addicted and very poor of east central Indiana. Pregnancy Care Center of Jay County124 W Walnut, PO Box 707, Portland, IN 47371; 260.726.8636 Pregnancy Care Center ministers to women in difficult pregnancy situations. We provide support and guidance for our clients emotionally, spiritually, and with materials. When needed and depending on our finances, we can help monetarily. Randolph County YMCA Preschool/Childcare700-702 Browne St, Winchester, IN 47394; 765.584.0199 In May 2001, the largest childcare registered ministry closed. The YMCA stepped up to fill the void in childcare. The Y has purchased an outreach site, which will serve 35 children. An additional 55 children will be served at the Y facility (preschool and after school). Muncie District Conference MinistriesThe following Conference Ministries are partially funded by Conference apportionments. Wayside Mission, Inc.2428 S Walnut St, Muncie, IN 47302 Since its creation, Wayside Mission, Inc. has been actively involved in meeting the physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of destitute women and children. In addition to simple shelter, we give food, educational training to return to society and spiritual training to heal the soul. |
