Emmaus Mission Center805 Spencer, Logansport, IN 46947; 574.739.0107 The Emmaus Mission Center is a non-profit, multi-denominational social service agency that was established to provide support for marginalized families and individuals within a fifty-mile radius of Cass County. Gilead House608 E Boulevard, Kokomo, IN 46902; 765.865.9427 Gilead House assists women with drug and alcohol addictions and their children. They provide support groups and individual sessions, and assist women in finding shelter and employment. Women are provided transportation to appointments and are encouraged to further their education. Kokomo Rescue Mission321 W Mulberry St, Kokomo, IN 46901; 765.456.3838 The Kokomo Rescue Mission is a non-denominational Christian social service agency providing the basic human needs of food, shelter, clothing, holiday ministries, and rehabilitative services in a six county area to those who cannot provide for themselves. To make Christian values, Christian teaching, and Christian life available to children who otherwise may not have access. Also, to make day care affordable and available to those who otherwise may not be able to pay for it. Kokomo District Conference MinistriesThe following Conference Ministries are partially funded by Conference apportionments. Family Service Association Domestic Violence Program618 S Main St, Kokomo IN 46901; 765.868.3154 In November 2003, Family Service Association of Howard County, Inc. (FSA) opened the doors of its new 28-bed domestic violence shelter/program. At the time of this shelter opening there were no available services to be offered to the four counties that this program now supports (Howard, Cass, Miami, Tipton). This program offers shelter services to 75-85 women and their children per year and provides extensive case management services by professionally trained staff to assist clients in developing and maintaining a violence-free life. As a part of these services, this program is now responsible for developing community awareness of programs and services we make available to victims of domestic violence. Kokom Urban OutreachPO Box 20122, 1701 S Locke St, Kokomo IN 46904; 765.461.9618 Kokomo Urban Outreach is an interdenominational network of churches, faith-based organizations, and individuals who have a heart for hometown missions. We are working with churches and individuals to reach into their neighborhood providing ideas, support, encouragement and guidance. Samaritan Caregivers2705 S. Berkley Rd, Kokomo IN 46902; 765.453.7611 Recruits volunteers and matches them with people who are experiencing issues of aging, medical problems, or disabilities. Volunteers provide no-cost assistance with everyday activities. |
