Camp Adventure

Camp Adventure has been part of the NIC camping ministry for over 40 years. It ministers primarily to middle school age children and is equipped with a swimming pool and high ropes course designed specifically with that group in mind. At present the camp is looking to build new cabins for its wilderness site, which has grown dramatically in the last few years. It also needs new signage and a new registration building.

Camp Lakewood

Founded in 1954, Camp Lakewood provides almost 150 elementary age campers each week with a fun and enriching experience. The camp’s primary focus for renovation is their water front area, which is so popular with the children. The goal is to enlarge it, landscape it and add docks and large water toys.

Camp Pine Creek

Pine Creek Camp, which boasts over three hundred acres, has been part of the NIC camping ministry since 1957. Pine Creek ministers to elementary age children as well as being the home to a nationally recognized horse program. A new equestrian facility is nearing completion; it was paid for by a grant from the Lilly Endowment Fund. Pine Creek still needs funding for renovations and upkeep on many existing structures. New structures are also needed for housing, registration and nursing.

Epworth Forest

Epworth Forest, soon to celebrate its 80th year in ministry, is the home for many conferences as well as Senior High Institute. Its association with NIC is so long and close that to many visitors it has become a symbol of the UMC. It is in need of funds to renovate many facilities; such as painting, housekeeping, new roofs, sound systems, etc. New projects are also coming up such as creating a new entryway with signage, and building new lodges.

Re-Yo-Ad Camp

This camping program, housed at Epworth Forest, ministers to the needs of developmentally challenged persons. It encompasses all ages and makes a great impact on the lives it touches.

Royal Family Kids Camp

This national program, held locally at Epworth Forest, reaches out to touch the lives of abused and neglected children. It provides them a safe place where they can learn about God and his mercy.

Exodus Resettlement and Immigration Program

Exodus Resettlement and Immigration Program works cooperatively with churches to resettle refugees in northern Indiana. We offer legal services to low and moderate-income immigrants. Exodus is affiliated with Church World Service Refugee Resettlement Program of which the United Methodist Church is a participating denomination.

Lucille Raines Residence, Inc., Indianapolis

The Lucille Raines Residence provides continuing care for persons who have completed substance abuse programs and wish to live in a safe, clean and sober environment while they deal with issues of recovery. The residence has a capacity of 49. In addition to the above, there are three or four persons who are visually impaired and are in Indianapolis for purpose of training.

Operation Classroom - Administration

Operation Classroom's primary mission, in partnership with the Liberia and Sierra Leone United Methodist annual conferences, is to assist in Christian-based education and health care.

The Operation Doctor program is the medical program area of Operation Classroom. We have chosen to respond to the invitation of the Sierra Leone and Liberia Annual Conferences of the UMC to jointly develop an interactive medical mission program. Its purpose is to help meet the public health needs of Liberia and Sierra Leone in the name of Christ.

Parkview Hospital - Fort Wayne

The chaplains of Parkview Hospital are responsible for the pastoral care of the patients, family members and staff of Parkview Hospital, Parkview North Hospital and the Orthopaedic Hospital at Parkview North. They respond to all critical emergency care patients and all Code Blues. They also are responsible for advanced directive compliance for inpatients and outpatients.

The chaplains are called to every death in the hospital where they provide pastoral care for the family while addressing tissue/organ donation, funeral home information and autopsy requests.

Initial visits with a spiritual assessment are made with patients who have no church affiliation. Churches of patients who designate a preference are called following admission. The chaplains also field many other requests by patients, family members and staff.

Warren United Methodist Home

Warren United Methodist Home is a continuing care facility for seniors. Condominiums, residential apartments, assisted living and nursing home facilities are available. A Board of Trustees made up of clergy and lay governs the home. There are four retired United Methodist ministers who serve as chaplains.
