Older Adult Ministries

God has blessed the North Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church with many GIFTS. The gifts are our older adults. As older adults we now need to RE-FIRE in our walk with the Lord.

Psalm 92:14 "They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green."

"Ministries" by, with, and for are the key words for ministries of the Older Adults of the North Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. To provide Older Adults with opportunities to grow spiritually in there relationship with our Lord. Also to experience supportive, fulfilling friendships, educational programs and fellowship times.

Goals

• To reach un-churched and churched Older Adults with the good news of Jesus Christ.
• To have an active Older Adults Ministry in each local UMC.
• To have an active Older Adults Ministry Director (lay or staff) in every church in the conference if possible.
• For each local church to have an Older Adult Board to assist in the Ministries of the Older Adults.

Remember, Older Adults are the Sleeping Giants in our churches!
