Delegation Meeting Summary:
October 2, 2003

The General and Jurisdictional Conference Delegation met on Thursday, October 2, from 9 AM to 2:30 PM, with 32 members and one guest present. Devotions, led by Brian Witwer, were based on II Corinthians 5:1-15.

Interviews of the Episcopal candidates took place in an attitude of prayer and respect for both the process and individuals. Dwight Judy, guest of the delegation, led in small group discernment. He will compose some questions for reflection for consideration by the candidates and the delegates.

Legislative group assignments were discussed and Jurisdictional Conference delegates were asked to sign up for a legislative group so they, too, can study the issues and contribute to upcoming discussions.

Frank presented the following slate (prepared by the Executive Committee) of nominees for North Central Jurisdiction Committees:

The slate was affirmed and passed. The meeting was adjourned.

Prayer Request: Continue to pray for the delegation to discern God’s will for the best candidate for the episcopacy.
