Delegation Meeting Summary:
June 28, 2003

Twenty-five members of the delegation to General and Jurisdictional Conferences in 2004 met on June 28 to get acquainted and organize. Devotions based on Ephesians 3:14-19 were led by Rev. David Byrum.

The agreed-upon delegation leadership assignments are as follows:

Executive committee: Frank Beard and Mark Fenstermacher, clergy
     Jack Dwiggins and Carolyn Johnson, lay
Secretary: Pat Weeks
Chaplain: Dave Byrum

Nuts and bolts topics like housing, transportation and budget were discussed. The delegation agreed to be in prayerful discernment over the next few weeks, asking for guidance from the Holy Spirit as we seek to endorse one of our North Indiana clergy as a candidate for the episcopacy.

Marianne Chalstrom closed the meeting with Ephesians 2.

Prayer request: Ask God to give wisdom as members discern the episcopal leader to be endorsed by the group.
