Laity Leadership Development ScholarshipDescriptionThis scholarship is designed to provide financial aid to laity that will be taking training any where within the state of Indiana as long as it is sponsored by a group approved by North Indiana Conference. This scholarship will be awarded in the amount equal to ½ of the designated cost of the requested event for laity. The applicant must register and pay entire charge for the event and then make application for the scholarship. After the event has been attended the applicant will be reimbursed with the scholarship. An individual may receive one grant per year and any one church will be allowed up to 3 persons being granted per year. If an individual recipient is unable to attend, the scholarship will be forfeited and will not count as awarded for that person or church. All grants and scholarships are awarded on a first come basis and will be awarded within one month after attending the training. NIC-Sponsored Leadership Development SeminarsThe Grants & Scholarships team has granted funds to lower the price of all laity registrations by $15.00 for any Leadership Development Seminar put on by the North Indiana Conference. The laity will not have to make application for this grant. They will need to register for the seminar through NIC Service Center and then it will be an automatic reduction in price. Laity will only need to make grant applications for a scholarship if the event is something other than a Leadership Development event. Those grants will be awarded as outlined above.
