This workshop is designed for churches that are planning to launch a new worship service and want to do it right! It will explore these key areas:

  • When and why a church should start a new service.
  • Identifying a target audience.
  • Designing the service.
  • Getting people to come.
  • Gaining your church‘s support.

ED FENSTERMACHER, a layman, has had first-hand experience launching a number of new worship services while on staff at the Simpson United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne. Since 1995, as Associate Director of Church Development and Revitalization for the North Indiana Conference, he has had the opportunity to study churches across North Indiana launch successful – and not so successful – worship services.
