$100 per person (includes materials and meals)

Any clergy or lay person interested in receiving training for doing Hispanic ministry as a part of a local UM church should attend. Teams are encouraged to attend.

Pastors completing the training are eligible to serve as a mentor for laypersons doing Hispanic ministries, especially those from their church.

Module I: A Basic Instrumental Module

Module I offers participants methodological tools and practices that allow them to be ready to develop Hispanic ministries. Module I is composed of five units, each lasting from six to eight hours:

  • Hispanic Community and Bible Reading
  • Hispanic Community and the Role of the Church
  • Hispanic Context and Dominant Culture
  • Hispanic Community and Missional Strategy
  • Hispanic/Latino Community and Leadership
