The responsibility of the preacher is to offer good news to the congregation at every event of preaching. The spe-cific offering of good news emanates from the biblical text, and the preacher is often challenged by those texts that seem to represent anything but good news. This workshop addresses the challenge of finding and offering good news from the whole Bible and especially those texts that are considered difficult and challenging. Attendees are asked to bring a sermon that they have struggled to interpret and preach as good news.
