Skill area 1, 7 or 9 - What?

Participants will gain an understanding of how clear boundaries enhance ministry effectiveness. Four key factors in boundary violations will be described. Factors which increase the risk of boundary violations and early-warning signs will be identified, and participants will have the opportunity to self-assess. Five areas of special complexity will be explored and practical guidance offered for maintaining healthy boundaries in ministry.

This is a mandatory workshop for every minister (clergy, lay pastor, or diaconal) under appointment. The North Indiana Cabinet and the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry sponsor it. The Bishop and Cabinet are requiring each pastor to attend this event once every quadrennium.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER ATTENDED THIS EVENT, IT IS MANDATORY THAT YOU ATTEND IN 2009. IF YOU HAVE ATTENDED IN THE PAST, YOU WILL RECEIVE A SCHEDULE FOR ALL PASTORS INDICATING THE YEAR THAT YOU MUST ATTEND DURING THE QUADRENNIUM. THIS SCHEDULE WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THE MAILINGS OF YOUR INTEREST SHEETS.
