Skill area 4 - What?

You will meet some of the Conference Directors and Associate Directors during the day, and have time for questions and answers in each of their areas.

  • Mark Gough – Council on Ministries’ Director
  • Brent Williams – Director of Finance and Administration
  • Jack Scott - Associate Director of Recruitment and Leadership Development
  • Nick Yarde – Associate Director of Camps and Christian Conferencing

A Ministers Handbook will be given to you, in a three-ring binder, listing the services and resources available to you personally as well as for your work in leadership in the local church and this Annual Conference. You will learn in detail how you are part of the connectional team, how the Conference Service Center can assist and support you in your work, and the benefits that are available to you. You are EXPECTED to attend this seminar.

NOTE: A Professional Boundaries in Ministry seminar will be held on February 14, June 7, and September 24, 2008. If you have never attended this workshop, it is mandatory that you attend in 2008. This is a MANDATORY workshop for every minister (clergy, lay pastor or diaconal) under appointment. The Bishop and Cabinet are REQUIRING each pastor to attend this event once every quadrennium. Please register to attend one of these events this year.
