Advanced Degree and Doctor of Ministry

Scholarship funds are available for pastors pursuing an advanced degree, such as a Masters Degree, or a D.Min. Degree. To be eligible for such a scholarship the following conditions apply:

1. The applicant must be a full-time elder or deacon having served in the local church for 5 years.
2. Course of study must be applicable to your appointment. How will it help to improve your ministry there?
3. Must agree to serve in the local church for three years after completion of degree.
4. Application process will include an interview with two or three people from the Division on Ministry Development.
5. The amount of money to be awarded per individual will be $1,000 per year with a maximum total of $3,000 over the course of three years.
6. Application must be received by May 15th of calendar year.
7. The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the availability of the funds.
