In this workshop you will discover how to:

  1. Create a “WOW” experience in the first five minutes that encourages guests to return for the second and third look.
  2. Learn the difference between visitors and guests.
  3. Learn to reach more persons for Jesus Christ with the help of two-tiered hospitality teams - gifts and follow-up welcoming systems.
  4. Tips for creating new ministries or revitalizing existing ones whether you have 20 in worship or 800 will be shared.

REV. HEATHER OLSON-BUNNELL is an ordained Deacon in the UMC and a member of the NIC. She has over 20 years experience in the local churches and on Conference staff, as a consultant in teacher training, church revitalization, and volunteer recruitment. While on the staff of the NIC she designed the original Kids Club program and implemented it in over 200 churches. Currently Heather has served as a church growth coach and presenter with the Redevelopment Venture Process, a church renewal and revitalization ministry in NICUMC. She also in on staff at Wabash First UMC, Wabash, IN. Rev. Olson-Bunnell’s passion is creating bridges between the church and the world and helping churches move out beyond their existing walls.
