CLERGY/LAITY

Skill area 1, 3, 7, 8 or 9 - What?

This training program for youth workers is not a "how to do it show", but rather a strong philosophic approach to ministry which proposes that if the right person is in the right place, with the right philosophy, he or she will build a successful youth ministry. This ministry has been presented in hundreds of churches with Youth Alive and has helped to train thousands of youth workers. The emphasis of your seminar will be:

  1. How do you measure success in youth ministry?
  2. Why are you in youth ministry?
  3. What is your basic philosophy of youth ministry?
  4. Who is in charge of your youth ministry?
  5. What methods will build a successful youth ministry program?
  6. Do we as youth ministers have a significant heritage?
  7. Why do youth workers quit so soon and so often?
  8. How do we deal with an ever changing youth culture?
  9. Does the size of the church relate to success?
  10. What kind of people make good youth workers?

RICK & MICK VIGNEULLE (pronounced "Vin-yell") are internationally known Christian comedy and contemporary music artists who have performed in all 50 states and in 14 countries.

These identical "twin towers", (combined height totaling 10 ft. 8 in.), have been featured on America's Funniest People, performed at the White House, conducted several chapels for professional baseball teams such as Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros and LA Dodgers. They have also been seen on 60 Minutes and in LIFE Magazines' 20th Century Highlight Book. They have also appeared with David Jeremiah on “Turning Point”, and on Charles Stanley’s “In Touch”.

Rick and Mick have been favorites in hundreds of high school assemblies presenting their highly acclaimed program, "Attitude Check." As a result of this major evangelistic outreach, over 15,000 students and adults have made decisions for Christ in the last two years alone!

During student events, Rick & Mick perform a program interwoven with side-splitting comedy and inspirational contemporary music. They never close their events without making the Gospel presentation clear and available. Come and get some ideas how you can present Christ to the youth that you care about.
