Redevlopment Venture Process
Is your church interested in more effectively carrying out its mission? Is is at a place where it's ready to do something but isn't sure what do to next? Is it interested in acquiring tools from which it could benefit for years to come? If so, consider participating in the Redevelopment Venture Process (RVP). A new group of churches will begin this 18-month, team-based process Sep 20, 2008. To learn more, plan to attend a free introduction to RVP from 10 am - 12 noon EDT on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at First UMC in Wabash. How Does RVP Work?A church recruits a team of 7-12 lay people plus its pastor. These people covenant to attend six RVP sessions that will provide them with tools their church can apply in a way that's appropriate for its context. Between these sessions a coach will meet with the team each month at their church to help guide them in the implementation of the tools. What's Covered in the Sessions?
What Results Can We Expect?
What Is the Cost?RVP costs $4,000 per church. However, the conference pays half the cost. The church's portion is $2,000, but only $1,800 if payment is received by Sep 1, 2008. Need More Information? For more information, contact Ed Fenstermacher (ed@nicumc.org) or visit the Church Development RVP Overview Page on this site. | |||||||||||
