Dr. Page will conduct a study/workshop on the People of the Land. A discussion of several of the people who have left a fingerprint on the Lands of the Bible will be part of our time spent together. We will look at these major groups and cover as many as time/interest allows: Prehistoric people, Canaanites, Jebusites, Egyptians, Nubians, Hebrews, Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Edomites, Nabataeans, Romans, Greeks/Byzantine Empire, Muslims, Crusaders, Mamelukes, Turks, Palestinians, British, Zionists, and the Israelis.

Discussing these topics, could help us better understand some of the issues in the Middle East today as well as offer us a background to our Biblical understanding.

REV. DR. CHARLES PAGE has a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies, a Master of Arts in Anthropology of Religion, a M. Div., and Ph.D. in Biblical Archeology. He is a United Methodist elder and a member of the Tennessee Annual Conference. He is an Associate Director of the Bethsaida Excavation Project and has also worked on excavations in Kursi, Tel Arad, Beth Shean and Har Karkom.

Dr. Page is currently Director at the Institute for Biblical Exploration, Jerusalem-Bathsaida Excavation in Galilee and leads groups excavating there each year.
